A FITNESS cloud hangs over Melbourne Victory star Archie Thompson after the striker was not seen at training this morning.
Team officials hosed down speculation Thompson had suffered an injury, saying he was told not to train because of a stomach virus.
The setback comes as Victory prepare for Saturday night’s A-League grand final at Telstra Dome.
Midfielder Grant Brebner said he expected Thompson to be right in time for Saturday.

A Canandaigua family who wishes to remain anonymous has donated $3 million to Thompson Health for its continued expansion and renovation of F.F. Thompson Hospital.
The funds will go toward the second phase of the project, which is slated to include work on surgical suites, an ambulatory procedures unit, nutritional services, rehabilitation services and administrative space. The project is currently under review by state and regional planning authorities.
