Traffic Stop Turns up Sword, Drugs

A Claverack man is under arrest after State Police made somewhat of a bizarre discovery during a traffic stop in Greenport.
They say 33-year-old James Rippy was stopped for an equipment violation.
Inside the car, State Police found a 24-inch cane sword.
Rippy was allegedly impaired by drugs and cops also found three grams of crack cocaine on him.
