UNION COUNTY, Fla. – Four students in Union County were rushed to an area hospital on Wednesday after a pickup truck driver rear-ended their school bus.
The wreck took place at about 3:15 p.m. after school on State Road 121 just south of Raiford.
Union County Sheriff’s deputies said a pickup truck driver failed to stop at an intersection and rear-ended the bus.
Four of the students onboard the bus were take to Lake Butler Hospital as a precaution.

A Floyd County Ken-tucky woman was killed in a Pike County accident yesterday evening.
A press release from Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 9 reported dispatch received a call of a two-vehicle accident on Penny Highway in Pike County at 5:29. When police arrived, they discovered a 1997 Chevrolet pickup driven by Billy Ward was traveling south when it crossed the center line, striking a 2005 Chevrolet pickup operated by Johnny Spears Jr.

TALLADEGA, Ala. (AP) — Denny Hamlin was taken to a Birmingham hospital Sunday after a tire failure led to a hard crash at Talladega Superspeedway.
NASCAR said Hamlin was alert and awake, but was transported for futher observation. Hamlin was complaining of a headache and was favoring his right foot after his slow exit from his crumpled car.

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. – A four car wreck on I-85 late Monday afternoon sent three people to the hospital and tied up traffic for nearly an hour and a half.
The wreck happened just after 5 p.m. in the northbound lane between White Horse and Augusta Roads.
Troopers say one of the drivers saw debris in the road and slowed down.
Two other drivers did the same, but another driver didn’t notice and slammed into the car in front of her.

Carlos Daniel Meza, 20, of 218 A S. Broad St was charged with driving without a license and following too closely, after a two-car crash on
at 12:30 p.m. this afternoon, according to Rome police reports.

One of the people involved in a deadly car crash early Saturday has been released from the hospital.
Joseph Batemon, 29, was released from Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Francis Campus this afternoon.
Batemon was a passenger in a car that that led the Kansas Highway Patrol on a high speed chase around 1 a.m. Saturday, after a trooper attempted to stop the vehicle for speeding.
The car eventually struck another vehicle at 21st and Erie.

Two Greenville residents spent Christmas in the hospital recovering from injuries they suffered when their Buick collided with a Chrysler being pursued in Greenville by Spartanburg County sheriffs deputies, authorities said.
William Boyd, 71, and Bernice Bennett, 68, were in good condition at Greenville Memorial Hospital on Thursday following Wednesdays wreck on Laurens Road near Fairforest Way, said hospital spokeswoman Sandy Dees.

CORPUS CHRISTI – Police believe speed may have played a factor in an accident that sent two people to the hospital Wednesday evening.
Officers said the driver of a truck was speeding when he crashed into a parked car on Dinn Street. The impact of the accident forced the parked car into another while the driver of the truck slammed into another vehicle.

A 47-year-old man was flown to Duke Medical Center in Durham Saturday after the bike he was riding collided with a car on McKinney Street.
Randy McAllister, of McKinney Street, was riding his bike east on the street at about 12:16 p.m. Saturday when he crossed the center line and collided with a Kia, which was driven by Nadine Brown of Burlington, heading west, according to a Burlington police news release.
